Founded in 2015 by Mohamed Q. Amin, Caribbean Equality Project has been combating anti-LGBTQ hate violence through civic engagement, health equity, legislative advocacy and community organizing rooted in dismantling and decolonizing systems of oppression on behalf of Afro and Indo-Caribbean LGBTQ+ immigrants and Caribbean Americans at the neighborhood level and up.
